Habitat Management

No sooner was the giant hogweed brought under control along the river than the Himalayan Balsam moved in. It is very invasive and covers great areas of the riverbank. The Inner Forth Landscape Initiative people arrange 'balsam bashing' sessions to try to keep it in check.

We had the promised thunderstorms and very heavy rain but it seems to have cleared away now and the sun's shining again. It's still warm but nothing like yesterday.
