MOONFLOWERS

We came back from visiting B's new grandson to find Mum's conservatory full of moonflowers. They're enormous, open for one night, are beautifully fragrant and are dead in the morning. Tonight there were about 20 of them open. Mum and Dad used to have moonflower parties if they suspected any were about to open and invite friends round for an evening of drinks and sensual indulgence, but tonight it was just us.
