Beach day!

As Britain was drenched in glorious sunshine and the heatwave got as far as Scotland we and everyone else in the area headed to the beach. I was looking after G's boys for the day on our childcare swap arrangement. The boys all get on well so it works out very well. They had a fantastic time building lots of sand structures, pools and catching a crab. Here they are about to release the crab back into the sea.
As we left the beach the car said it was 27.5deg, as we headed inland it shot up to 29deg but as we got back the Penicuik it was a very hot but lovely 26deg. What a treat! Summer for the day!
