Full Moon Over Vancouver

Vancouver, Day 19

This morning began, like last Tuesday, with a yoga class which I really enjoyed.

The afternoon's highlight was a visit to La Casa Gelato. Possibly the best ice cream emporium ever! They serve 238 flavours and we tried them all... in our dreams! (Are you reading this, WhiskyFoxtrot?!)

A little later we went for another swim in the ocean which was as enjoyable as ever.

Tonight we all went out to see an al fresco performance of 'West Side Story' by Theatre Under The Stars in Stanley Park. It was a great production with a cast of thousands (well, almost) who sang and danced wonderfully.

Afterwards, we enjoyed this view of the city and the full moon as we walked home.

(Shortly afterwards we saw two raccoons but they eluded my camera!)

Today's tune has nothing to do with any of the above but I wanted to include a track by the New Pornographers during this sojourn in Vancouver. They're one of the best bands to have emerged from the city and I was delighted to see them perform at the Folk Festival on Friday night, despite the fact that they're not a folk act at all!
