BRONZE!!!

The whole office (around 500 people) gathered around the various TV sets dotted around the buildings today to watch the men's eight rowing final. Why, I hear you cry? Well, my work sponsored Greg Searle's return to the Olympics, 20 years after he won gold at Barcelona. For the last 18 months or so he's been popping in to meetings and sending messages from his various training camps, updating us on his progress. It's been great to share a little bit of his journey, and better understand just what it takes to be an Olympic medal winner. So, we all gathered around the TVs. We bit our nails. We shouted. We cheered. We celebrated a fantastic bronze medal. Well done Greg! Oh, and the other guys in the boat. ;o)
