Soap story

Me & my friend went on a trip to Port Sunlight on the Wirral today. It is a village built by Lever Bros. for the workers in their Soap factory, started in 1888.
The village is named after their famous Sunlight soap.

At one end of the village is the Lady Lever Art Gallery which houses a lovely art collection with a lot of Pre Raphelite paintings, and some were made into advertising posters for the soaps.

This is part of the display of adverts & you could even smell the differance between carbolic soap & Sunlight.
