Heavy cloud , but no rain

This time with apologies to Sting. NY is currently in a drought. We haven't had more than 10 minutes of isolated sprinkles for the last 6 weeks and the soil is really dry. As we are pretty close to the river , it's not terrible, but it isn't good either. i try not to water more than every other day but the veggies are simply not growing with that amount of water and the 90 degree heat. Today however , it rained for at least 90 minutes and probably longer according to my son. At least I don't have to water tonight! This nasty looking cloud though passed over and off to PA without dropping any rain . It didn't even drop hail even though hail and severe thundershowers were threatened. Just as well.
