Brave Blue World

By OlliEcological

Idyllic.

A pleasant enough birthday marred only slightly by being at work. The physio this morning was a mixed bag in that the knee is degenerating but doesn't require surgery just yet; only intense therapy and steroid injections despite the ACL rupture and bone growths. Keep on truckin'.

As dusk fell I went for a wander around Ruskin Mill in Nailsworth and it was simply beautiful. The whole valley was as still as could be with trout plopping in the pools, Herons hunting in the millpond, bats skitting about and the whole place heady with the smell of honeysuckle and lily.

Finally and beautifully I spent fifteen minutes listening to a chamber orchestra playing in the mill building, utterly transfixed and oblivious to everything else. Perfect.
