Dents du Midi from the Other Side

The early morning sun catching the Dents du Midi from the Salanfe Hut with a gentle zephyr wind just ruffling the surface of the lake. (This photo is perfectly in focus until it is uploaded, what's going on?)

However, it was probably a mad idea to have set off from Van d'en Haut, altitude only 1,390m at 05:30. 1,900m and 5h 45mins later, I dragged myself to the summit of the Haut Cime, the highest of the 7 "teeth" of the Dents du Midi. Then there was the descent, the unseasonal snow making concentration even more critical. Remind me not to do that again even if the weather is perfect.

In extra photos, the Tour Sallière with the Mont Blanc Range behind it.

Thanks for the appreciation of the gentians of yesterday's blip, I probably shall fall asleep very soon so commenting could be sparse.
