the cat's whiskers

whilst looking for an item in the garage i discovered a cat under a piece of furniture. my 21 year old daughter has launched a campaign to keep it. comments like: 'if you love me, you'll keep the cat!' or 'i've tweeted we've got a new cat' not to mention the repeated chanting of 'keep the cat, keep the cat!' yet we've stood firm and it's just gone to the vet it see if it's got a micro-chip in it. but we are NOT KEEPING IT!
noma at claridges last night was confusing with mixed messages: on one hand we ate live ants from denmark because 'they tasted of lemon grass so why import the grass from asia?' (indicating concern on food miles) then in the next breath, the waitress is extolling the virtue of the sorrel that had been picked that morning in scotland and flown to london for our meal!
some interesting flavours and textures but the best food in the world? which sounds all a bit mean as i didn't pay for it - thank you so much sam for your generosity and continuing to expand my food horizones
