I cooked bigos, Polish hunter's stew. A winter dish, so just perfect for today. One of the friends is of Polish origins, but the rest might have got a shock by the amount of cabbage they had to eat.  Then we had the most beautiful, brandy soaked South African cake. With custard and cream! Holidays at home are great.
