Tomatoes

It's been a busy couple of weeks now the fruit is ripening. I managed to get in a decent cycle for the first time since my last blipfoto entry. 26 miles with a strong gusty headwind at times and a long 4-mile climb. Not quite Tour de France standard.

Every year in the garden is different. The peas and broad beans were very late to ripen, the soft fruit is abundant and all ripening now. The courgettes and cucumbers are coming thick and fast. The tomatoes have been maddeningly green for weeks, but I noticed yesterday that there is a slight reddening. At last, I can have something apart from lettuce and cucumber in my salad.
