Pecking Order

Leaving for a holiday is so different these days. Spent so much time charging - camera batteries x 4, phone x 2, toothbrush x 1, iPod x 1 and iPad x1. Left batteries for electronic catflap for G. Had to go and get new headlight bulb and bought bird food to fill up the bird feeders. These juvenile sparrows were having quite a squabble over the food.
There was quite a lot of positioning to get the best spot on the feeder.
A lot to learn if they are to survive to breed next year.
We eventually set off early afternoon and just had time to pitch a tent, quick wash and brush up and headed off for dinner at the Kilberry Inn. Fabulous as usual - crab cakes out of this world.
Good start to our short west coast adventure.
