Mirel Wagner, born in Ethopia and raised in Finland, came to Jena this Sunday.

Her melancholic tunes filled the Trafo-Station, a distribution substation turned cultural venue which provided an appropriate space for her intimate, stripped down music made of a minimalistic use of the acoustic guitar and haunting, morbid lyrics.


I originally wanted to take more pictures but put the camera away after a while since the shutter sound is so disruptive (especially during acoustic performances) which made me feel rather uncomfortable ...
