Corny corn?

I love sweet corn.  Don't you?  Today we bought our first local corn and are so looking forward to devouring it!  I always pull back the leaves a bit as I choose my corn and today was no different.  You can imagine my surprise when they were totally shucked.  How about that gnarly on at the top?  Not too consistent, but I'm sure they will all taste delicious.
