A Kingy Day

The alarm went off early this morning and I set off a little bleary eyed. Full of hope that I would be luckier than on previous visits to a quiet stream that a kingfisher family are known to be. I got positioned huddled in a bush and within 30 mins I had my first sighting. I had a wonderful morning watching listening to and photographing these birds. Sometimes it was a bit annoying when I could hear, but not see them diving and then watch the ripples, but no complaints they did take time to pose nicely.

Lesley came  to meet me and we had a nice pub lunch, a pleasant walk in the sunshine and then home to watch some of the best golf ever seen - what a great day !!
