Rural traditions
We spent the afternoon at New Deer Agricultural show, now in its 169th year. It's one of the much anticipated summer events in thus part of the world. I have to admit that it's the first time I've attended in all the years I've lived here, mainly because we were often away on holiday in July when our children were young. It was a fascinating experience seeing people turn out to celebrate rural life, despite the rather dull, and later wet day. My second shot is a display from the industrial tent of one of the winning WI entries.
