Tower Bridge

Took a day trip to London today as a treat for my daughter who turns 8 on Monday. She took a friend with her and, as neither of them had been to London before, they had lots of fun.

A friend got us tickets for the Tower of London so we started the day off wandering round the Royal Armouries, visiting The Bloody Tower and getting up close to The Crown Jewels in all their sparkly glory. The girls both loved it.

We headed back to the tube (another first for the girls) via The Thames Bridge where I managed to grab this shot of Tower Bridge looking resplendent. A quick hop to Regent Street and a birthday trip to Hamley's finished off our day.

The end result was one very happy almost 8-year old and friend, three absolutely shattered grown ups and lots of memories made.
