The Lodge

Popped into Ipswich for a haircut today. Brief respite from kitchen chaos which has continued for the rest of the day.

On the way back, I stopped at this lodge, one of the entrances to Shrubland Hall in Suffolk.

I've loved this building ever since I first saw it. I wonder who lived there over the years? Did they take breakfast on the balcony? Or afternoon tea as the sun went down?
