Happy Ever Esther Farm (HEEF)

Fabulous day (after my morning run) spent at 2 farms. The first was the long awaited tour of HEEF and visiting Esther the wonder pig. She is a facebook and blog phenom and her new book has just hit the New York bestsellers list. We bought these tickets over 3 months ago, she is one popular lady. Esther lives in the farm house in her own room with a queen bed, a cat, 2 dogs and her dads. She does not believe she is a pig and although there are 11 pigs on this sanctuary she does not like to hang out with her breed. There is such a sense of peace and calm after you visit this warm and fuzzy space. We visited the pigs, goats, cows, fowl, bunnytown, donkey and horse. We followed up with a visit to another local farm, but this one a petting zoo. We had pie and tea and a good shop. I found 3 more Wrendale design mugs to add to my collection, very excited! Great feel-good day.
