Cherry (Not So) Ripe

Blipping them now, as once they ripen they will soon vanish!  I've already seen the birds eyeing them up:-)  To be honest, they are welcome to them as they don't look very good this year anyway.

A day spent pottering about indoors while my husband cleaned the guttering round the house, as it was dry for once.  However it was windy and quite cold, so I didn't fancy being outside for long.  

My extra is a rather blurred shot of a pigeon with a twig in its mouth, so I'm not sure if it was building a new nest or repairing an old one.  Also noticed a couple of large holes in the old tree trunk, presumably made by the woodpeckers.  Wonder why?
