Being prepared

In the past we have been to rather wet midsummer parties round at L and M's place. To celebrate L's birthday the party was a few weeks later this year and they had also hired a tent marquee so they were fully prepared when the clouds rolled in. It didn't actually rain when we were there but I think L was pleased that they were fully prepared if it did! Sitting inside I was reminded of Scout camps, arriving on the Friday with the advance party of more senior Scouts to put up the marquee and the communal tents in preparation for everyone else arriving on the Saturday. The little details too like the 'Dutch Lacing' to keep the un-used doorways in the side panels closed. Perhaps that's what I should have blipped.
