Morning Calm

The Korean War broke out on June 25 1950, an armistice was signed on July 27 1953. Despite North and South Korea signing an armistice agreement the two countries have never signed a peace treaty and are technically still at war.

Living in Gwangju, the south west corner of the country, I never see any military, but going further north it becomes a bit more visible. For my summer holiday I went on a road trip with some friends up along the east coast, we camped out over night on a beach way up north. To my surprise as I sat watching the sun rise an army patrol walked along the beach in front of me.
