Cool, not cold!

A little explanation, yes it does snow in Australia. Just beyond the furtherest tree line is where we live in Muswellbrook. The mountains behind are the hinterland of the Great Dividing Range which stretches from Victoria in the south to Queensland in the north covering a distance of several thousand kilometres. From where this shot is taken it is only forth kilometres to and area called The Barrington Tops which is closed off to traffic for tow months of winter due to snow. Further south on the range nearing Victoria is an Alpine Region which is covered in snow for up to four months of the year. Yesterdays "Frozen" blip will be the last of four subzero temperature readings we will have for this winter. Todays blip shows a humidity haze covering the valley and it was about 16deg C with a low this evening of 6deg C. The second shot was planned from yesterday, except it didn't quite work out. Like yesterday the sunset had some lovely pastel colours, I wanted to include the spire of St Albans church in the sunset. What resulted was a compromise, I took the shot because of the reflected sunset on the leaves of the Gum tree.
