Jaw. Better than war-war (Churchill)

This is the jaw bone of Homo Heidelbergensis. Approx 500 thousand years old.

It lives in a little unpretentious glass box at the University of Heidelberg.

For the dentists out there, the teeth were generally in good shape. No sign of fillings.
