River Medway at Lockmeadow.

Another very pleasant day tinged with the news of a further atrocity in France. Made even more poignant as I was attending a Cafe Francois at school to mark Bastille Day (it should have been yesterday but school being school was today)

It was an enjoyable cycle to school for the second time this week with part of the route alongside the River Medway from where this shot was taken. Mind you, the other side of the path are lots of commercial buildings before eventually giving way to flats.

The final part of the route retraces the way I used to cycle to the first school I taught at in the 1970s, so that was a bit of nostalgia. Some things had changed, many things were the same.

The ride home seemed easier than the ride out. A couple of miles downhill without pushing the pedals and travelling almost as fast as the traffic before leaving the busy roads and finishing the journey through Mote Park.

After lunch a couple of hours were spent at the allotment and then a good session at the gym which involved..... more cycling.
