Puffin Watching on Staffa

A day of wonder today, the Isles of Mull, Staffa, and Iona. I'm sick, but still toughened up enough to enjoy the hike to the remote end of Staffa and a visit to the Puffin roost. The small birds are fearless, comical, and appealing. Visiting with the Puffins made the excursion to Mull and environs worthwhile.  Iona was grand too...  and so too was Mull...  ancient and interesting and knowing the the people and events of the ancient isles was so important to the development of western civilization made the excursion even more valuable.
