Goodbye to old rubbish.
the way it was It's a little sad to see it go.
I'm a slow person. My mind works slowly, I love the silent, gentle speed of walking and riding my bike, the time it takes for tomato plants and olive trees to grow in time for me to prune them, so. a few days ago, racing up north in the fastest of fast trains on a business trip was quite an exiting experience at over 300kmh.
On our arrival we were met by guy who was neither a client nor a customer or supplier, but a business "enemy" who wants us to desert our allies and join his enterprise. Who knows!
The thrill of the ITALO train was nothing compared to "taking off" in his Maserati as he drove like a complete nutter without even the excuse of being a youngster as he was even older than ourselves, with long locks of white hair. jabbering and gesticulating all the time.
I was sitting in the back seat, and beginning to feel a bit weird, while Mr. S. sat silently in the front passenger seat. Right on cue, my wonderful husband said "please drive slowly, we are not in a hurry".
And so he did go slowly and quietened down a bit.
