Lifeline

I don't often find myself on foot at the Western Ferries Terminal at McInroy's Point, but today the bus from Greenock dropped me off just in time to walk down and watch the ferry arriving. I rather like the splash of red against the blues of sea and sky and distant hills, and the verticals of the pier in the foreground. (It's not really a pier, but I can't think of a suitable word for these posts that protect the berth and the linkspan.)
