Sleeping cat (detail)

Old lady cat sleeping peacefully on my lap this evening. She's getting lighter and lighter the older she gets, no weight at all on my knee. Hard to believe she's 16 now - I remember the day she was born. And when it came to deciding which kitten in the litter we should keep and which should be given homes with our friends and family the choice seemed easy - the little stripy runt stayed.
