Junior Tour of Ireland

The alarm went off at 5:30am. My bag was packed, the house was tidy and there was no panics. I was off to the Junior Tour of Ireland with a team of lads from Edinburgh Road Club and we were in for a long journey.

Jarlath picked me up from Edinburgh Park and then it was off to to join Calum and Stephen. The journey to the ferry at Cairnryan was completely uneventful. We met up with Alan and Lewis there, and were soon embarked.

Security was a bit tighter than normal, with questions as to why we were travelling. The ferry was also quite rowdy.......ahhhh, it's the 11th of July and there were busloads of bigots on their way to the 12th of July 'celebrations in Belfast. 

We still had all the way from Belfast to Ennis to go.....and it ended up being a 12 hour journey. We met the final team member Joe at the hotel, had dinner and everyone headed to bed early.
