...more commonly known as Mt. Hood.

No extra, because it's the one that got away!  This morning I found a female finch caught up in deer netting. In my haste to free it, I didn't grab my camera or phone, instead I grabbed gloves and scissors. 

Such a tiny creature in the palm of my own small hand. I could feel its heart beating against my hand as I clipped the netting wrapped around toothpick thin feet, slender wings, and deep among neck feather-what a gordian knot!

Finally, I had clipped all the netting loose without cutting feet, wings, neck or fingers. Success! I opened my hands and she flew free.
