I went to have another injection for my neck today, which turned out to be way more painful than the previous ones. The doctor asked what kind of pain I was feeling and I said the kind you feel when someone is stabbing you in the neck with a needle. He said, "ha, but no, I'm serious - it usually doesn't hurt once I get into the ligament," and then asked again about the kind of pain it was. So I said it's the kind of pain you feel when someone is stabbing you in the neck ligament with a needle.
He laughed and then it got really quiet for a second - and then it didn't hurt so badly. I almost had to go back to not liking him, but he saved it at the last mo.
