Early morning on the beach .....

...... and it was early but beautiful as Togbe and I had the whole expanse of sand to ourselves.  The sun was shining, the sky was blue but things changed a couple of times during the day.

In the middle of the afternoon the sky darkened and there was a torrential downpour.  As the rain eased I decided to take Togbe and his frisbee down to the beach for some energetic exercise (the dog, not me). It was obvious that many people had left the beach in a hurry leaving behind windbreaks, folding chairs, and inflatable dinghy and plenty of spades, all to be collected later ..... probably!

The extra photo shows the beach as it was about half an hour ago.  The sun is shining again but sky is still ominously dark.
