Two little dove chicks - update

For the first time, today morning, I saw the two chicks awake and moving about a bit. I read from the internet that both the parents take turn to guard the nest and chicks. But in this case I think the male dove isn't around anymore as none of the parent dove can be seen at the nest at any time except during the brief time of chick feeding which I guess the mother must be doing. I also watched the mother dove feed the chicks today. The mother opens her mouth and the chicks push their beaks into the mother's mouth and scoop food from her gullet.
