OTT!
This is one small part of the huge, I mean massively huge "thing" that was hanging and for sale in the Garden Centre. Looks like a double helix to me so maybe would be good in a medical place but otherwise where would you put it, and why would you want to! But the light sure was pretty bouncing off it!
Friend wanted to do something today, and I had a need of a shop for the basics and locusts, so I took her to Waitrose!! I know, Waitrose is hardly your basic shop but they do the best clumping cat litter and range of unsalted butter! I am on what seems a never ending quest for the butter I remember having abroad as a child. I just loved the taste but do not seem to be able to find the same stuff no matter the range of butters I try -and I have tried lots!
Waitrose also does the range of Teisseire Sirops and San Pellegrino cans of sparkling fruit juices - I don't drink much alcohol so think I can splash out on my soft drinks! Plus Waitrose does do some good puddings!! I also grabbed loads of free papers to line my home coop with - well it's good to save money where you can!!!!
Next stop Garden Centre for lunch - they also do nice cakes! I also got a new water tap for my water butt on the allotment and a Stephanotis! It's one of those pants, along with Streptocarpus, African Violets and Orange trees that seem to happily grow for several years then die on me! I leave it a few years then get tempted to try again with them! Well the stephanotis has such a beautiful heady perfume like Jasmine, and will flower for months, so cheaper than cut flowers even if I do eventually kill it!
I left Friend in the car as I walked along to the aquarium for locusts, she was feeling tired by now and her hip was hurting. I looked in at the various reptiles and saw lots of Hermann Tortoises - oh I so would like one! Finally Greengrocers next door for greens for the girls and home we headed via Dr's for her new medication.
On arriving home I discovered my bin had leaked a sticky mess all over the kitchen floor. That morning checking my cupboards for a certain spread I discovered loads of out of date cans, jars and dry stuff, so emptied the lot into my bin as it was rubbish collection the following day - silly me! I am "pleased?" to report the oldest can had an expiry date of 2012!!! It was at the back of the cupboard and was a small tin of pears - I have no idea why I bought it as I hate tinned fruit!
