Ziggida

Ziggida emerging into view, unusual in these parts as it's a settlement with more than a few hundred people. One of our largest meetings to gather the townsfolk to discuss the project we're relaunching (thanks to new funding).

Three years ago there was some religious violence here between Christians and Muslims. Many places here are very mixed in terms of religion, clan and language. Easy for rival groups to whip up hostilities between people as they did devastatingly during the war.

With civil conflict and Ebola, Liberia's recent past has not been easy.
