Crossing into Bong

This river is the boundary between two rural Liberian counties. We journeyed inland towards one of our project sites, here heading into Bong County. Due to the Ebola epidemic there are still checkpoints at county and district borders where sometimes you have to get out, wash hands and have your temperature read. By all accounts it was petrifying to be around during the height of the outbreak. With the easy transmission there was paranoia about coming into contact with anyone, even one's own children if they complained of feeling ill.
