Scarlet Lily Beetle

I managed to spend some time in the garden this afternoon and managed to fill our green bin and 3 green rubbish bags. It had to be done today as the bins will be collected on Thursday and we will be out most of tomorrow.

Later I decided to try chasing bees for this week's Tiny Tuesday. While I was doing that I came across this scarlet lily beetle who obligingly let me take his photo. I have to admit that after than he had to be squashed under my boot as I know he and his mates will eat all the leaves and buds on my lilies.
