Rain exposes roses

More rain transposes the buds into roses
and, where leaves have been thinned in the pond,
lilies can open ("lake roses" in German),
as Nature is quick to respond.

I am grateful to Ausländer for advising me to thin the pond's lily pads, and for telling me the German name for the waterlily: die Seerose.

PS the pink roses are tiny - only about one inch diameter when fully open.
