On Top Of The City

I mentioned the city of Laon several times this year but didn't show you a view of the town.

Today we made a long walk to the highest ring of the walls around the mediaval city from where you have a beautiful view on the other side of the cathedral, different from what you usually see on most pictures and/or postcards.

It's taken from the remparts of the old fortification (in the direction of the west).

The weather is, as you can see, rather clouded, sometimes threatening and some sun against the end of the afternoon. The temperature was about 20°C during the day. So living outdoors is not quite a punishment today ... ;)
