Rye
Lunch at the excellent fish cafe- Webbes and a wander round Rye. Mr P took the day off work. Explored the old cobbled streets, the quay and the military canal that was built to keep Napoleon Bonapart out of London. Took loads of photos but this is the most typical of Rye.
It was a port until storms in the 1300s silted up the bay. You can still navigate up the river to the town at high tide . The extra is the town quay at low tide.
