Old Stirling Brig

After a blipless day, although busy; you really do not want to see me wielding a paintbrush, MaggieD and I ended up in Stirling. We did intend to check out the cattle next to the castle but they were scattered all over field. So we thought to try for the swans at the University. But then I saw the old bridge and decided to have a look at it.
Built to replace the ancient wooden one featured in the film "Braveheart", this was a toll bridge in its day. Far too narrow for modern conditions, it has long been replaced but that replacement is also now barely fit for purpose.
I dread to think of the disruption potential as and when the road bridge gets widened!
