Old gig tickets - Acker Bilk

So, it was I am pretty sure 29 years ago tonight that I ended up with good friend Helen on a wet Saturday evening in Cardiff going to see Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band...somewhere. We'd been to see Warren Beatty's Reds the previous night at the Chapter Centre, but I can't remember where this concert was on. It felt like a school hall, and perhaps that's what it was. Th'internet is silent on the subject...did we walk there? If so then it must have been somewhere in Cathays, so that's where I've stuck the pin on the map. I don't remember much about the music either, it was a trad fest with all Acker's old hits, but well enough played and enjoyable. The main thing was just spending time with a good pal. I still have the black denim jacket that Theresa coveted so much by the way, Helen!
