Today's bird count:  3 kookaburras, 3 magpies, 2 ravens, about 10 noisy miners, roughly 8 New Holland Honey eaters, 4 Galahs, 4 Rosellas, 2 Eastern rosellas and a multitude of lorikeets - oops, nearly forgot - a blackbird.  If we had a partridge I'm sure it would have been sitting in the pear tree.

I was told that the birds are really hungry because, although there is a lot of blossom around, the rain has washed it all out, leaving the birds nothing to eat.  Makes sense.
