A lovely evening sky

Back to work this morning. I was almost there when I realised why the traffic was so light and the drive so stress free. It is school holidays, and the route I follow obviously is heavily affected by the school traffic. 

A lunch time walk to the lake edge brought an opportunity to try out the new camera again, and I was moderately pleased with a photo of a karuhiruhi (Pied Shag). I left an hour or more earlier than I have been in the last few weeks, and was home to watch the sun setting and bathing the world in its golden glow.

My last photo had to be chosen for today. A wonderful place where we stay.
