view from Blackness

Took advantage of the lovely morning by going to Blackness Castle just after opening time. It was low tide, and I was the only person there. Sat on the end of the pier - it was just me and the birds. No traffic noise. Just the gulls and ducks.

I chose this view for the 2 completed bridges, the works of the the 3rd, and the oil terminal structures contrasting with the heron and serene water.
