WORK AND PLAY

Went out on the beach by the North jetty.  Minus tides again, and we were pretty early getting out.  So there were a lot of people out clamming.  These folks are after Razor clams.  You have to spot a tell tale dimple in the sand.  Dig down about three feet, fairly quickly. Then reach down in there to snag your clam.  We watched them complete their limits.  There were five in there party, and the limit is fifteen per person.  That is seventy-five clams to take home and clean, prepare and cook.  I have done this, but now it seems like a lot of work.  Would be fun with the grandkids, however.
