Handling The Door, London

This is a close up of door handle covered in a protective material that had somehow split and moved in a strong breeze. I really liked the abstract quality of this and thought it suited a black and white treatment.
Today's extra shot was one I took for a street photography group on Flickr  but which was  damned with the very faintest of praise. This knocked my confidence quite a bit but I still really like it even if no-one else seemed to!
I had a half day at work today so in the afternoon I decided to go and see the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy. I really enjoyed it and it was less cluttered than previous years so allowed the artwork to breath a bit more. After that it was time for a pint and then I sat in St.James' Park for a while eating my lunch and then having a read of book under the shade of a tree - perfect!
