Boom!
I can remember when I was a kid, always wanting to put pennies into the mine on the pier at Whitby. I don't think I realised the horror of the sea mine but was always fascinated by it. My father told me stories of how the Germans laid mines at the entrance to the Tyne and his ship (a RN destroyer) was holed off there in December 1944. (Could be a tall tale). Anyway it's time Port Appin had a mine. This one is made from a bead from MrsDB jewellery box. She'll never miss it.
Oh, and I laid more sheets of cobbles as seen in this pic and yet to be detailed.
